My journey
Born in Poland and raised across Germany and South Africa, my path took an unexpected turn when I spent five years as a novice Buddhist monk at the Nan Hua Zen monastery studying Chinese culture and language, psychology and mindfulness meditation —years that shaped who I am today. Whilst at the monastery I was fortunate to have received the traditional Tibetan white scarf blessing form HH the Dalai Lama. The magnitude of this blessing continues to support my life up until this present moment.

My work as a psychological therapist and mindfulness trainer stems from my own struggle and journey through PTSD and depression. Having walked through that darkness myself, I feel that I can genuinely guide others through theirs.
In 2015 I was commissioned to write "Managing Depression with Mindfulness for Dummies" and am now researching my second book on men's mental health and evolved masculinity.

My international background allows me to work with clients worldwide—from the USA to Japan, Barbados, Hong Kong to South Africa, this is something I really enjoy tremendously. Each client brings their unique cultural story to our healing work together.

Today, I've found my peace in Dorset, England by the sea with my partner and our 6-year-old daughter. Our morning herbal coffees, quiet moments, and beach adventures remind me daily what truly matters. (Picture on the left: Pagoda, Nan Hua Buddhist monastery, South Africa)

With over 25 years as a therapist, I create a safe, relaxed space where you can be completely yourself while we work toward real solutions. My trauma-informed approach recognizes how past experiences shape our present.

My rather unconventional path included five years studying Transpersonal Psychology at a Buddhist monastery, a Bachelor's degree, and MBSR Mindfulness Teacher Qualification from University of California San Diego Medical School. I have also gained numerous psychological qualifications through CPD training via my previous NHS mental health role.
My NHS psychiatric hospital experience and 12 years as executive director of the Dorset Mindfulness Centre - where I taught over 30 MBSR Mindfulness courses - deepened my understanding of mental health and human resilience.

I integrate multiple therapeutic approaches including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Schema Therapy, ACT, CBT, Mindfulness Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Transpersonal Psychology. Every person is unique, so I tailor my approach to your specific journey.

I'm DBS certified, receive regular clinical supervision, and am accredited with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and
My mentors
There have been numerous individuals who have supported me, invested in me and believed in me, in fact there are too many to mention. I consider these individuals as people of positive influence, below are just a few.

AHBAY RINPOCHE
I met Ahbay Rinpoche in 2010 when I first arrived in Dorset. I received a traditional white Khata Tibetan blessing from him and we have stayed in touch ever since. Rinpoche became a Buddhist monk at age seven. He now travels the world sharing his wisdom.

DR STEVEN HICKMAN
I initially connected with Steven in 2010 when he encouraged me to create the Dorset Mindfulness Centre. He is a retired Associate Clinical Professor in the UC San Diego School of Medicine and author of "Self-compassion for Dummies.

CREDO MUTWA
I was fortunate to personally meet Credo in 2002 when I lived in the monastery whilst in South Africa. He was regarded as the highest African shaman until his death at age 98. He is the author of more than 10 books, including "Zulu Shaman"
